Robert Schenkkan’s 4-hour miniseries adaptation of Michael Crichton’s Andromeda Strain for A&E aired in Spring 2008, and was nominated for seven Primetime Emmy Awards, including Best Mini-Series. The project starred Benjamin Bratt, Christa Miller, Eric McCormack, Rick Schroder, Daniel Dae Kim, Viola Davis, and Andre Braugher, executive produced by Ridley Scott and Tony Scott, as well as David W. Zucker at Scott Free Productions , and Tom Thayer of Traveler’s Rest Films. Mikael Salomon (“Salem’s Lot”) directed. It is now available on DVD.
