RESIDENCY AT ORCHARD PROJECT

Robert was in residence at the Orchard Project in Hunter, New York from June 10th through the 17th,

working with long-time dramaturg, Tom Byrant, on a revision of THE GREAT SOCIETY. Also in residence were Tina Satter and Half Straddle, Pig Pen, Kerrigan/Lowdermilk, Greg Wohead, Krissy Vanderwarker,

ART’s Jackie Sibblies Drury, the Nichole Canuso Dance company, and Carey Perloff.

SCHENKKAN HONORED AS A COLLEGE OF FELLOWS IN AMERICAN THEATER

Robert Schenkkan was invited to be inducted as a Fellow with the investiture ceremony to be held at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in  Washington, DC on Sunday, April 20, 2014.

ALL THE WAY WINS STEINBERG AWARD

At the conclusion of the ATL Humana Festival, Robert Schenkkan’s ALL THE WAY was announced as the winter of the 2012 ATCA/Steinberg Best New Play Award, recognized as the best new script produced outside of NYC. The play will be excerpted in Best Plays. Runners-up were Johnna Adams and Lucas Hnath.
